What is your ministry background?
I started serving in youth ministry at my home church when I was 15 years old. After going to college (Trevecca Nazarene University) to study youth ministry, I have spent the last 14 years serving as an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene ministering to students in several churches throughout the Southeast.
What is your favorite part of being an Orange Specialist?
Two things that I am most passionate about is building relationships and helping develop leaders. As an Orange Specialist I am super excited that I not only get to connect with youth leaders from all over the country, but also get to help elevate and support those leaders in their calling and ministry to students!
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be? (Don’t overthink it!)
Kythira (an island in Greece). It’s a place I have listed on my Pinterest board for my wife and I to visit someday…And YES, I have a Pinterest board, lol!

What do you want to make sure you do before you die?
Be able to see and give my daughter away at her wedding.
What’s a goal you have for yourself that you want to accomplish in the next year?
Build a new desk and farmhouse style table with my 9 year old son.

It’s Personal by Reggie Joiner, Kristen Ivy & Virginia Ward; Your First Two Years in Youth Ministry by Doug Fields (the BEST book for anyone just getting started in student ministry), & Youth Pastor: by Houston Heflin (a HUGE help in understanding my role and calling in youth ministry).
What would be your personal motto?
“Esse Quam Videri” it’s Latin and means “to be rather than to seem.” It’s also tattooed on my arm!
