What is your ministry background?
I’ve been in ministry for over 25 years. Our first year of marriage, my husband and I moved from Atlanta to Michigan as interns on a church planting. Ten years later, we moved across the state to lead another church plant. In 2003, we found our way back to Atlanta, with three kids in tow, to serve at a small community church in the Metro Atlanta area. I was perfectly happy there with my role leading the women’s ministry until I attended my first Orange Conference in 2011. I came away with a vision for creating a ministry that engaged kids and empowered parents. I was able to shift my role to Family Ministry and spent another seven years working with families until joining the Orange team in 2018.
What is your favorite part of being an Orange Specialist?
I love it that I get to take what I’ve learned, what worked and what didn’t, and now use it to help other leaders. I love talking big picture strategy and the nuts and bolts of curriculum.

What are your top 3 pet peeves?
Chewing loudly, taking forever to tell a story, leaving dirty dishes in the sink
If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
The beach, for sure.
Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Either an Olympian track star or married to Donny Osmond.
What do you want to make sure you do before you die?
Do life with my grandchildren – baseball games, recitals, ice cream cones, etc.
Name a few of your daily habits (other than a shower and brushing your teeth).
I need my morning coffee, preferably within 10 minutes of waking. I stock bird feeders outside my home office window. My husband and I cook dinner together. (Actually, he cooks while I chop and clean up.) Our soundtrack is usually some kind of 70’s rock. I sleep with a fan on year round – I even take it on trips.
What do you do with friends in your spare time?

If you had $100 and the day to yourself, what would you do?
Manicure, Pedicure and the Mall.
