What is your ministry background?
I have served at 3 large, multi-site churches overseeing Kids Ministry from birth – 6th grade. I’ve been in ministry for 25 years…which seems impossible since I just turned 29 (again).

What is your favorite part of being an Orange Specialist?
I love to see churches win with kids, families and their community! I love to help them see what they are missing. Sometimes it just takes a set of fresh eyes.

What are your 3 must read ministry books?
Lead Small, Not Normal, Scary Close (It’s not technically a ministry book, but it will give you the tools to set very healthy boundaries in ministry!)

What are your top 3 pet peeves?
Long lines, people who drive slow in the fast lane, people who don’t respond to email quickly

Do you have any skills that most people don’t know about?
I can play the flute, twirl a baton, and fold my tongue into a triple fold…but not all at the same time

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?
Either at the beach or in Highlands, NC in the mountains!

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Believe it or not, I wanted to be a Kids Pastor. Well, that or work at a pizza place so I could eat all the free pizza I could handle.

How do you want people to remember you?
I want people to remember me as a joyful person who treats others with kindness, love and respect. I know most people will not remember what I say, but I know people will remember how I treated them.

Name three words that describe you.
Outspoken, Joyful, Fun

What’s a goal you have for yourself that you want to accomplish in the next year?
I have been working hard at living a generally healthier lifestyle…except when on vacation. : ) I want to live long enough to enjoy my grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Name a few of your daily habits (other than a shower and brushing your teeth).
COFFEE! (Don’t talk to me until I’ve had 2 cups.) I typically get 8 hours of sleep each night.

What do you do with friends in your spare time?
We love to go to long leisurely dinners. We meet at least once a week to process life for a few hours. (We call it the “Board Meeting”. That way we can justify how long it lasts.)

What would be your personal motto?
Choose Joy

If you had $100 and the day to yourself, what would you do?
I would go get lunch, a facial, and take a nap.

We’re easy to reach. Schedule a time to talk or drop us an email today.
