Curriculum Updates

Wondering what's changing with Curriculum?

APlay, our new streaming service, is going to save you so much prep time and will be included FREE with your curriculum subscription. It’s an app that’s accessed through an AppleTV box and contains all of your media, large group visuals, and worship for children’s services. Simply log on to the APlay website joinamazing.com, use the pre-built playlists for each week (or create your own) and send it to any room in your environment. As a bonus: Closed Caption Videos, built-In! While we used to offer separate downloads for Closed Caption videos, we now have them preloaded in APlay! More coming on this in June!

We’re adding a FREE special needs video training module created by Kim Botto, a leader in the special needs education space, to help you and your team serve every child who walks through your doors with excellence. This video module will be available on APlay in August. Our existing special needs adaptations that accompany our curriculum will now be included directly in your small group activities, making it easier for your team to lead all kids in your group. Starting in the month of August, we’re also including a sensory friendly video option for our kids who may need a softer, quieter experience during large group time.

Music listed in First Look and 252 can be found in the Orange Store for purchase. If you’re an Orange partner, reach out to your Customer Success Manager for a code for FREE downloads of all music listed in the Orange Store. The music will also be on APlay for all curriculum users.

We are actively rethinking how FX can best support your church and families. More details to come as we shape an even stronger strategy together!

We are moving away from physical products which allows us to focus on digital and scalable solutions for your ministry. We do realize that widgets have been a part of the strategy for many of our partners and we’re happy to brainstorm alternative items that can be purchased from vendors who specialize in promotional materials. We encourage you to start a conversation in one of our Facebook groups or reach out to your Customer Success Manager for help.

Files for Quarterly Theme posters for First Look and 252 are now included for download in the Prelude folder of your curriculum documents.

We’ve partnered with an outside printing company to bring you our monthly theme posters and window clings at an affordable cost and help you print other items like bookmarks too. You can see their dedicated Orange page here: https://momentummedia.us/orange/categories/#

DVDs are no longer in demand in our store and so we’re excited to bring you our new streaming service, APlay! We’re embracing this new era of technology and want to help your ministry be the best it can be.

You can create your own emails from the new small group leader templates we’re offering in your downloads starting with August content (releasing June 1). They will be blank and evergreen so you can use them anytime, in any way you’d like! You can use the Ministry Leader Guide and preview videos in these templates.

Due to low demand, this will be going away. However, we will still offer your live large group teaching scripts.

Due to low demand, this product is going away and we are rethinking new video products to serve you better.

To streamline and enhance curriculum efficiency, you will no longer see a Starter content in your downloads starting with August content. While that does mean Starter content is going away, it doesn’t mean this simplified content is going away. It just means we’ve had so many churches ask for simpler and more streamlined lessons, that we’re making it a curriculum best practice moving forward. Starting with August curriculum, you’ll notice an icon near Small Group scripts with simplified content as well as next to Small Group activities that require minimal supplies to help you easily identify content that fits the ministry environments that thrive with the Starter-structured content. This shift will also allow us to focus on delivering more impactful resources to help you win! We would love your feedback after you’ve tried this new material. Contact your Customer Success Manager and let us know how it’s going. We value your input!

First Look: If you use Starter content, we suggest using Large Group Rug Scripts and activities marked with an icon to show you what would work best for you in small group.
252 K-5: If you used K-5 we suggest you used the 2rd – 3rd grade content for Large Group and Small Group.

We’re moving away from multiple emails (weekly and monthly) to one streamlined monthly email to parents, ensuring clear and effective communication. Parent Cue cards will still be available for download.

All supplies needed will be conveniently located in the “Getting Ready” section of your curriculum documents. It will no longer be a separate doc. Go to the last page of your lessons to locate the list.

As our team is in the process of elevating our offerings within XP3, there’s a few key changes to the deliverables you’ll receive within your curriculum subscription. Firstly, we are transitioning from a Seasonal upload to a monthly upload, meaning that you’ll get a new series each month on your dashboard rather than just 4 times a year. In addition, you’ll notice that the media package is now included within your series document folders. In addition, you’ll notice the new Ministry Leader Guide which helps consolidate the information in your Start Here folder into one streamlined document. For more information on what’s in the future for XP3, check out this video from Chris, Leslie, and Tyler!

This document has been combined into a document called The Ministry Leader Guide. We suggest you share this document and the preview video with your leaders to give them a great overview of the month. For First Look and 252 Kids and Preteen, the guide will be in the Vision Casting folder. For XP3, it will be in the Start Here folder. And in both places, you’ll find less files and more content. The guide will include a clickable table of contents to quickly navigate to the content you’re already familiar with: Statement of Faith, For Leaders Only, Monthly Overview, Create the Environment, Monthly Snapshot, Series Overview, and more. The Ministry Leader Guide is streamlined so that you’ll spend less time searching for files and more time on what matters: influencing the faith and future of the next generation. Additional documents that exist in the Vision Casting and Start Here folders will still continue as separate files (Scope and Cycle, videos, etc).

This will become an evergreen document, updated every Scope and Cycle year, with lots of ideas that can be used any time throughout the ministry year.

You can find these documents in the Prelude Folder for First Look and 252 curricula.

First Look black and white small group activity pages will be available again, beginning with the August content. Uploaded to CDN by June 15th, if not sooner.

Due to lack of demand, we will no longer offer this resource.

Blank slides are provided for you to highlight the virtue if you’d like. We’ll be focusing more on the Bible Story and Bottom Line slides for each week moving forward.

APlay Updates

Wondering what APlay is and how it works?

APlay is an Apple TV-native media player that simplifies the way churches deliver curriculum. It’s designed to be a plug-and-play solution that makes Sunday programming easier, faster, and more flexible—especially for leaders without a tech team.

APlay integrates directly with Amazing Life’s curriculum, including First Look, and 252 Kids. Each week’s content is preloaded into curated playlists. You can use the default sequence or customize the order, add your own videos, worship, or slides, and create a media experience tailored to your church.

  • No more downloading or USB transferring files
  • Customize playlists for different rooms or campuses
  • Easily add your own content or announcements
  • Save time and reduce setup stress
  • Volunteers don’t need to manage complicated tech
  • Keeps your focus on ministry, not media

APlay is built specifically for Apple TV, so you’ll need an Apple TV device connected to each room where you want to use it. No additional computers or software are required.

Not necessarily. Each screen that plays APlay content will need access to an Apple TV device, but in rooms with multiple screens, an HDMI splitter can often be used to extend the signal from a single Apple TV. If you’re unsure how many devices you’ll need for your setup, reach out to your Customer Success Manager — they’ll be happy to help you figure out what works best.

Yes. If you prefer downloading curriculum and running it through your current system (like ProPresenter or PowerPoint), that option is still available. APlay simply provides a streamlined, integrated alternative.

APlay comes with the purchase of Amazing (Orange) curriculum! This includes First Look, 252 Kids, Amazing Kids, and/or XP3.

APlay can only be used with AppleTV.

Yes! Under the My Uploads tab you can create your own libraries and upload your own media.

You can have an unlimited number of org-admins and org-users. Org-admins are able to add media libraries, add custom media and manage org settings. Org-users can only assist with managing playlists and cannot add media.

Not at this time, but providing a preview video for churches to share is on the top of our priority list.

Yes. If you have enough storage capacity, you will be able to Save to Device so that you can access your playlists without wifi. We can only guarantee this on devices leased through Amazing Life. Saving to device cannot be fully supported on your own devices.

Any of your present purchased curriculum media from First Look, 252 Kids, Amazing Kids, or XP3.

Yes, the content schedule will align with your curriculum dashboard so you have access to four months of content at once. The previous month, current month and next two months.

This is one of our most exciting updates available on June 1st!

Organization admins can add as many org users or admins to their organization as they’d like under the ‘Organizations’ tab. Then all staff can login to APlay.

Amazing Life Updates

Wondering who Amazing Life is and what we're about?

Amazing Life is a faith-based organization equipping churches and families with tools that help children grow in a lifelong relationship with Jesus. Through curriculum, technology, and media, we simplify ministry and support leaders in discipling the next generation with excellence and compassion.

Orange is a curriculum strategy, previously owned by The reThink Group, that is now part of Amazing Life; The reThink Group remains a separate, unaffiliated entity. Amazing Life helps churches partner with families to influence the faith of kids and students. Amazing Life is committed to a fresh focus on equipping the home and the Church, strong leadership, and deep theological clarity.

This merger allows us to combine trusted curriculum, media innovation, and a gospel-centered mission. By joining forces, we’re better equipped to serve churches with scalable tools and meaningful content that reflect the unique needs of today’s ministry leaders.

  1. Biblical Clarity: We will increase the biblical depth of our curriculum and clearly connect character traits to a relationship with Jesus.
  2. Creative Excellence: We are investing in world-class design, media, and video to bring the gospel to life in ways that connect with today’s kids.
  3. Theological Integrity: We are upholding the 9 theological insights and statement of faith that have grounded Orange’s curriculum.
  4. Cultural Representation: We will reflect the diversity of God’s Church by elevating diverse voices in our writers, editors, and on-screen talent.
  5. Local Church Flexibility: We are creating tools that allow churches to adapt content to fit their theological framework, context, and community.

These promises are our way of saying: we see you, we hear your needs, and we’re building with your ministry in mind. You can expect a curriculum that’s more biblically grounded, easier to use, more representative of the Church at large, and more supportive of your specific context. We’re here to make your job simpler and your impact greater.

Yes, in thoughtful ways. We’re deepening biblical content, clarifying theological intent, and improving how the materials connect to kids’ spiritual formation. These updates are built to serve—not disrupt—your ministry.

We believe the message of Jesus deserves our best. So we’re investing in top-tier animation, design, writing, and user experience to deliver curriculum that is both spiritually rich and creatively compelling. It’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about capturing attention for eternal truth.

We believe the Church is beautifully diverse. That’s why we’re committed to elevating voices that reflect a variety of ethnic, cultural, and denominational backgrounds—both on-screen and behind the scenes. Representation is not a trend—it’s a reflection of the Kingdom.

Absolutely. We believe every child—regardless of ability, background, or circumstance—deserves the chance to hear and respond to the gospel. That’s why we’re developing curriculum and tools specifically for children with special needs and empowering churches to create truly inclusive environments.

We affirm Orange’s original nine theological insights and statement of faith. Our curriculum will remain rooted in the authority of Scripture, the centrality of the Gospel, and the goal of helping kids know and follow Jesus.

Yes. Conference 2026 is already in motion. It remains a cornerstone event for equipping and inspiring ministry leaders, and future events will reflect Amazing Life’s vision for partnership, renewal, and excellence.

Your Customer Success Manager (previously referred to as Orange Specialists) is still your go-to guide. They’re here to help you navigate changes, answer questions, and support your ministry goals with care and clarity.
